Local Multimedia Backup
To back up image (e.g., jpg, bmp, png, gif, tif), audio (e.g., wma, rmj, m4a, ra, wav, wmv, mp), video (m2v, mts, mov, avi, mpeg, mpg, vob), and miscellaneous (e.g., exe, msi, iso) file types to an external thumb drive or hard drive, perform the following:
- Connect an external thumb drive or hard drive to your computer.
- Select Start Menu.
- Select All Programs.
- Select TSA Local Multimedia Backup.
- Select List Drives.
Note: Selecting List Drives allows you to view your external drive letter(s).
- Select the appropriate external drive to back up your local multimedia files to.
- Select Calculate Backup, as desired.
- Select OK.
Note: Selecting Calculate Backup determines the amount of disk space needed on your external drive to successfully backup the desired local multimedia files.
Note: A completion window appears when the calculation is complete.
Note: The number under total bytes is the amount of space required to perform a backup.
Note: If the number is less than the free space information listed next to the external drive, sufficient space is available.
- Select Run Backup.
Note: Selecting Run Backup initiates the backup process.
Note: The backup process may take several minutes.
Note: Once the backup is complete, a completion window appears.
- Select OK.
Note: Selecting OK allows you to view the log in the progress window.
